What a crazy two weekends we have had getting our Regional Carnival completed. We take our hats off to all the Zone Cos, officials and parents whose flexibility and drive to give our kids the best chance to make State meant we got it done! Some athletes missed out with clashes on the second weekend due to other commitments but most got a chance to compete at something.

Our Eastlakes athletes did not disappoint!

With 11 of our athletes achieving podium finishes, 10 claiming automatic qualifiers for State, a Regional record, lots of PBs, great sportsmanship displayed all weekend and lots of cheering for each other. What more could we ask for?

We have to give special mention to the Senior Boys 4 x 100m Relay. If you were still at the carnival on the Sunday afternoon you experienced first hand the excitement and joy of that race. If you weren’t let us tell you it was fantastic! Great to support our ‘awesome foursome’ as they bought home the gold in the last event of the carnival. Well done fellas!
